Minecraft Crafting Knowledge: Analysis of Those Nearly Forgotten Unpopular Blocks

The crafting system in Minecraft is a very interesting feature. Players can place different materials in the correct pattern within a crafting table to obtain various crafted items. Some crafted items are used frequently, such as axes, swords, and armor, while others are almost never used. This has led to them being nearly forgotten, and many people don’t even know their crafting recipes. Today, let’s take a look at these crafted blocks that players have almost forgotten.

Hay Bale

Hay bales are a type of block that can generate in villages. If you’re a parkour expert or a builder, it’s not surprising you know about them. But if you’re just an ordinary survival player, you probably don’t even know how to craft them or what they’re used for.

We can craft a hay bale using 9 wheat. It can be used to feed horses, speed up the composting process in a composter, change the sound of a note block, reduce fall damage for players, and increase the smoke height of a campfire. Although it has many uses, they aren’t very relevant for survival players, so few people pay attention to it.

Dried Kelp Block

Compared to hay bales, even fewer people know about dried kelp blocks. They don’t generate naturally; we can only craft them using 9 dried kelp.

Dried kelp blocks can only be used for composting, as fuel in a furnace, and for trading with villagers. Aside from that, they have no other use. This is also a major reason why many players don’t know about them.

Nether Wart Block

Nether wart blocks are blocks crafted from 9 nether warts. However, once you craft a nether wart block, it cannot be broken back down into nether warts.

Nether wart blocks could be considered the most useless block in this game. Besides being used for composting, they really have no other function. They don’t even look good as decoration.
